Our Mission

Our Mission at the AJGO is to offer a Year-Round Schedule of 1-Day Junior Golf Tournaments for - Boys and Girls - of all Skill Levels. During 2010, we will have more than 50 Junior Tournaments in Alabama!

How To Improve Your

Tournament Play

You regularly practice your swing on the Driving Range and on the Golf Course. Right?

You do this by playing in tournaments on a regular basis. The AJGO makes it affordable to play tournament golf year-round.

The AJGO offers College

Scholarships

Each year the AJGO awards several $500 College Scholarships to AJGO Members who are graduating High School Seniors. Tournament results or participation in college golf are not factors in awarding scholarships.

What About

Weather

FACT: We can't choose the weather for the date of a tournament. So if the Golf Course Staff has "Opened the Golf Course for Play" we play golf. Now it the time to start learning to adapt your game to the course conditions.

Junior Golf Can Be

Affordable

The AJGO wants to make competitive junior golf available to as many junior golfers as possible. The cost of tournament play can often be a "barrier." That's why our Entry Fee is $40 per tournament.

An AJGO Fall Tournament Membership is just $39 and allows you to enter our Fall Tournaments ($40 Entry fee per tournament) from September 1 thru December 31, 2010. Sign-Up Online!

USGA Tournament Rules

All AJGO Tournaments are played according to USGA Rules. Each AJGO Member receives a USGA Rules Book that they are to carry in their golf bag. So when you have a question about a ruling - you can look up the rule in your USGA Rules Book.
